How can we more effectively build bi-(multi)directional communication into our learning-directed activities--such as our presentations and workshop sessions (obviously this extends to the classroom, or even to the virtual classroom)? In other words: How do we make it more intrinsically/automatically interactive?

2009 5 21 - Building Capacity via Resource-sharing and Networking This session included presenters Chankil Park of Ewha Womans University, Umi Proboyekti of Duta Wacana Christian University, Indonesia, and Joel Yuvienco, Miriam College, Philippines. Umi, seeing that we needed a break, began her presentation by giving us a new kind of digital challenge – testing the coordination of our thumbs and pinkies as we hummed the tune she'd just taught us! (It's harder than you think! Try sticking your left pinkie finger and your right thumb to the left. Then, the opposite - try pointing your left thumb and your right pinkie to the right.) Thanks, Umi! One of our members has a Flickr stream here. Plateau Music Project - the main site is here. The site is updated weekly. You can find PDFs in English and Chinese explaining the history and methodology of the project here. We were featured on National Geographic here and we also have a Youtube channel here, though we haven't been able to update it recently....
